Eco-Friendly - At Denny's we treat the environment
as our friend. We are fully equipped with a total of
4 huge septic tanks so that we don't pollute Lake Izabal.
We avoid the cutting of trees, prefering to plant them.

The water in our rooms is springwater from the mountains,
and is used only in the buildings of the resort. Watering
of lawns and plants in the dry season is done with lake water.
Our newest tour boat is equipped with a clean-running 4-stroke
motor. Denny's Beach is located in a pristine area and we
intend to keep it that way.

We have Beach-Cabanas with private bathroom, shower,
and air conditioning... also we have Rustic Cabanas
with fans and private or shared bathrooms... Dorm-Rooms
available also. |
Denny's Beach is situated 238 km from Guatemala City and
is accessed only by water and horseback. There are no roads
in this area of the country, the nearest being the paved highway
to the lake-side community of Mariscos, 4 miles (6 km) west
of the beach. The highway to Mariscos is well-marked for those
with private vehicles and inexpensive covered parking is available.
Those arriving by bus need to get off at the Trincheras Junction
and catch one of the many mini-buses that will carry you to
Mariscos, a distance of 10 miles (15 km).
Once in Mariscos go to Margarita's Restaurant in the market,
and give us a phone call. The launch will arrive in about
15 minutes to take you to the beach. There is no charge for
the water-taxi service for hotel guests.
Guests can also arrive at Denny's from Rio Dulce
some 11 miles (17 km) away. There are many places to
call us from, but the easiest is at Rio Brava Pizza,
or Bruno's, both on the waterfront in downtown Fronteras. |

There is usually a water-taxi waiting at Rio Bravo Pizza
so just give us a call and we will be more than happy to give
you a ride to Denny's. The 45 minute lancha ride is free for
hotel guests.
It is always a good idea to give us a call at 5709-4990 or
