Boqueron Canyon

The Boquerón Canyon, a 400 foot gorge cutting its way through the mountain making an incredible formation of limestone surrounded by a subtropical forest where plants and tropical trees struggle to maintain their hold on the vertical walls. This has been formed with the passing of millions of years and the erosive strength and crystal waters of River Sauce, making of this place the mysterious and unexploited place it is.

El Boquerón is located 15 min. From el Estor. This park used to be a cattle farm, until his owner declared it a private natural reserve & decide to open it to the public. Here you can not only the beauty of the canyon but also the procedure for the raising of tilapis, mojaras & shrimp from the river. Or may go and take a walk through the virgin jungle of this reserve.

We recommend you do this terrific tour in kayak or canoe. Canoe up the canyon and float down in complete silence, enjoying the sounds of nature. Click here if you want to request a tour to El Boqueron.
